We receive all types of fantastic support from a wide range of different organisations. All of it helps us to continue our work, and we’re very grateful.

For example, a significant contribution from the 29 May 1961 Charitable Trust is paying for a fulltime Housing Support Worker. Many local companies have also been generous with their time, fundraising efforts, gifts and donations.

Barclays Bank providing food and training opportunities for clients

We would like to say a big thank you to the staff at Barclays Bank Coventry who have organised local food collections which will help tremendously with our food stocks for Cyrenians service users staying in our hostels when they first enter the service or experiencing problems with benefits.

We are also grateful to the Barclays team for delivering money management training options for our clients.

Howdens donate food supplies and materials to support our refurbishment

Thank you to the staff at Howdens who have organised events to support food collections and kindly donated kitchen cupboard fronts to support our ongoing home refurbishment programme.

Financial Ombudsman, Coventry office donating via the Pennies from Heaven scheme

The Financial Ombudsman has selected Coventry Cyrenians as one of their chosen charities to receive donations from their ‘Pennies from Heaven’ donations scheme for the year.

Coventry Building society donating food and raising funds to support our work

A big thank you to the staff of the Coventry Building Society for all of their fundraising efforts and food collections to support our work.

Immediate Mortgage Solutions £5 donation per mortgage processed

Mortgage advisor Dan Quinn has pledged to donate £5 to Coventry Cyrenians for every mortgage application submitted.

Dan believes in the value of local businesses giving back to local communities and wants to support the work of the Cyrenians in helping people to rebuild their lives.

“I help people everyday to buy their dream homes, so I would like to also help those who are not so fortunate and therefore for every mortgage application made, a donation will be given to help Cyrenians and their cause!”

So far this year Dan has donated £370 which is being put to great use supporting our work.

EON staff volunteer to decorate homes

30 volunteers from EON generously donated their time to redecorate some of our houses.

Cadent volunteers paint a hostel

Three eager volunteers from Cadent wanted to help their local community and approached Cyrenians. We gave them the task of painting one of our hostels for the homeless that needed a refresh and the company kindly donated money to buy the paint & equipment needed. We would like to say a big thank you to Nicky, Claire & Lucy who did a great job!

Tesco Coventry chooses Cyrenians charity

Local Tesco stores have selected Cyrenians as one of their “blue token” charities for customers to choose to receive donations this year. Thank you to Tescos and all of their customers for helping to support our work.

Coventry Rotarians choose Cyrenians as their Charity of the Year

We are delighted to have been chosen by the Coventry Rotarians as their Charity of the Year. The Rotarians do phenomenal work for charity and their donations to support our work are very much valued.

GOALS collecting food donations and supporting our fund collections

We are very happy that GOALS based at the AT7 Centre in Coventry have chosen to support Cyrenians by collecting food donations and placing collection tins on their premises to help raise funds for our work. Many thanks to Stacey Gane, Shift Supervisor (pictured) for arranging the collections.

GOALS offer facilities for 5-a-side football, kids coaching & parties, Corporate Events & more.

Dunelm Mill Graduates refurbish a hostel

The Coventry branch of Dunelm used their internal volunteering scheme to donate goods and staff time, to refresh the paintwork and soft furnishings of one of our residences. The impact on the person living in that house was profound.

As we all know, a decent environment for our residents helps their recovery and reintegration.
