Cyrenians are proud to recognise the incredible efforts of Zayne Wilson and Dan Burke, who have taken on an inspiring physical challenge to raise funds and awareness for Cyrenians and Box Clever Mentoring.
Over a period of 25 consecutive days, Zayne and Dan committed to completing a 5km run or cycle every single day. The challenge required determination, consistency, and resilience, but through their hard work they successfully raised over £1,100, with the funds shared between the two charities.
In addition to the physical challenge, Zayne and Dan also played a key role in bringing the community together by organising and hosting the Santa Stroll on 14 December. The festive event encouraged people of all ages to get active, enjoy the Christmas spirit, and support local charities during a particularly important time of year.
The money raised will help Cyrenians continue delivering vital housing-related support, practical life skills, and pathways towards independent living for people across Coventry. The fundraising also supports the ongoing mentoring work of Box Clever, helping young people build confidence, skills, and positive futures.
We would like to say a sincere thank you to Zayne and Dan for their commitment, generosity, and community spirit, as well as to everyone who donated, took part, or supported their efforts. Their dedication is a powerful reminder of the impact individuals can make when they come together to support local causes.
