WARWICK UNI GROUPS RAISE MONEY AND AWARENESS OF FOOD WASTE BY SELLING MEALS FROM EXCESS FOOD

Two brilliant volunteer led societies at the University of Warwick - Rawkus (Rethinking Waste) and Climate Reality Campus Corps collected excess food from local businesses and creating tasty meals to raise money.

Every day, tonnes of edible food is thrown out. The societies collected food about to go to waste from local vendors and suppliers, cooking up dishes from ‘in date’ food. They took the opportunity to raise awareness of environmental and sustainability issues on campus and around the world.

A big thank you to both groups for all their efforts.
