Policyfast Supports Local Charity At Broker Expo

Online insurance wholesaler Policyfast are delighted to announce that they will be supporting local homeless charity Coventry Cyrenians as part of their attendance at this year’s Broker Expo at the Ricoh Arena on the 1st November.  Policyfast will donate £250 to support the Cyrenians’ great work.

 ‘Improve and Rebuild lives across the Midlands’

The Coventry Cyrenians, local charity to the Expo’s Ricoh Arena, provide individualised support to promote and enhance the life chances of people in Coventry and Warwickshire who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness. The money donated by Policyfast will provide invaluable support to continuing support the charity in its endeavour to improve and rebuild lives in the Midlands.

According to an article published back in January by The Guardian, rough sleeper numbers in England have risen for the seventh year running. The article stated that the number of rough sleepers has increased to 1,137 in London and 3,614 in the rest of England, a figure up 169% since 2010.

‘Delighted to support such a worthwhile cause’

Steve Parker, Managing Director of Policyfast, said;

‘I am delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile cause.  A core part of our business is providing landlords with property insurance and so this seemed like a great way to give something back.  Coventry Cyrenians do vital work in the community and we are very proud to support them.’

Commenting on the partnership, Jack Swinburn at Coventry Cyrenians said;

‘We’re delighted that Policyfast has selected us as the charity of choice for their visit to Coventry. As a local charity that provides more supported accommodation in the city than any other agency, we rely heavily on support from organisations such as Policyfast to continue providing high quality services to service users.  This means we can help more homeless and vulnerably housed people to live as independently as possible. We want to thank Policyfast for donating to a cause which is helping to tackle a problem which is only growing in the West Midlands.’
